Big Brother winner and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty got engaged this weekend to long term boyfriend Raj Kundra.
For the occasion Shilpa wore a specially designed sari and elaborate jewellery, including necklace, earrings and bangles, custom made for her by Aanmol Jewellers.
The day was a particularly auspicious one according to Hindu religion, which is why the couple went ahead with it despite Shilpa’s sister being unable to attend. She is currently part of Bigg Boss 3, the Indian equivalent of Big Brother.
The ceremony took place at Kundra’s apartment in Mumbai with only close family and friends in attendance. Mumbai is also the location set for the wedding in December, while a reception will be held in London.
